👍 [Beginner Tips] Top 5 Best Beginner Builds?

Hey there all - I am seeing some of these amazing builds, and while I am very impressed, I am also getting a little intimidated. Some of the wire work and intricacy involved in some builds looks so scary! For someone just starting out, what would you point as your top five most rewarding, beginner builds? Help a newbie out! Thanks <3

I personally feel starting with the flowers are the easiest to get use to the instructions and there wasn’t many parts to it.

I would tell you to look for the Rolife with block like title rather than the swirly. Here are examples

The block writing ones are newer versions with less gluing. furniture is more snap together and flowers and plants are usually provided.
My first kit was a Baking Kitchen and I really had fun!

Hoping this is helpful!

I’m more experienced with the Rolife kits but I believe the newer ones in the market does not really come with much wiring anymore.
Just like @jeanneL said you want to look for the newer packagings.
If you’re wanting a more ‘house’ like structure I reckon the DS series are good to begin with:

From the back of my head one quick tip is to get a tiny jewellery hammer so you apply even pressure. My fingers don’t hurt as much with this haha.

The new ones usually have a star level on the back to signify difficulty!!

You can check out the product comparison PDF on the Rolife website! It’s a great way to compare kits and find one that suits your skill level. For beginners, I recommend starting with a 1-star difficulty kit from the category you like. You can do more then you think. The instructions are great and like the others say the new style kits make it way easier. I would start with some of the dyi houses and move from there.

I’d honestly say… Just go for what catches your eye and taste and give it a go. What’s the worst that could happen? Yeah, pieces can break, mistakes can be done, but that’s part of the process. I wouldn’t go from easier to hardest, I’d go for “what do I feel like I want to build and show in my house / give this person as a present”.
For me, I’m a ship lover. I’ve never ever built something before and because of that love I first bought the Seahorse Barque, which is listed here as one of the complicated ones. It was indeed, but it was also a satisfying journey, and I’m pretty proud of myself for being able to complete it.

Personally, if you prefer miniature DIY houses, I’d recommend starting with one from the Super Creator series, for example. They’re all made of plastic and quite easy to assemble. You could also try one of the small designs from the Rolife Little & Warm Space Series 3, like the ones in the photos.

If you want to dive into something a bit bigger, the newer Rolife kits are also quite simple — they don’t use any wire and are mostly click-together builds.

I think you should just choose a build you like. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow

The instructions may be easy, but the fingers might not be adept enough! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
