👍 [Beginner Tips] My Favorite "tools"

i have been doing a lot of painting on my current build and have really been relying on these tools. The magnetic holders with the tray are fantastic for both painting or for holding pieces while the glue dries. The tray slides open and stores all twelve “arms” when they aren’t being used.
The other clamps do the same job and are really helpful when I use all of the magnetic “arms” or when I need something strong to hold a piece together. It’s so nice to have extra “hands”.

So did you purchase the 12 extra pieces separately or were they found somewhere else totally? NOT from where you ordered the stand with clips? I love mine!

@Nita_Davis i bought the clips on the desk separately than the tray with the magnetic clips. They were really cheap.

In a store? Or online?

@Nita_Davis how are you liking the rubber cement erasers? I have been using them a lot especially to get glue off my fingers, but also to get glue off of pieces.

I have never used them. I bought 100% acetone nail polish remover since I never have acetone or lacquer thinner for my house painting jobs. I quit doing those kinds of jobs years ago.

I use the acetone to get glue and paint off my fingers but that’s about it because it ruins things so easily.

I like this tool of yours. Mine only have 2 clips. I need the one with more clips like this.

Your arms came with a tray? Wish I’d seen that one. My arms are on a box of colouring pencils for me.
But I agree, they are so useful. I’m using them more when I’m painting.

Yes I agree @Tkaplan . Anyone using acetone I suggest trying a small area first just in case it doesn’t work well. U got a lot of glue on my plastic screen for the window and it clean the glue off really well. But some other material then really need to be careful.

I gotta get me that light! :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Acetone should NOT be used on anything plastic. I only use it on my fingers.

Love your light! I saw the similar one in ikea but unfortunately out of stock :rofl:

@Tricia12 it’s super helpful

I thought that was most of the case until recently that I tried to clean the glue from the windows of the kits and it works well. I accidentally got glue on Rolife dust cover and that works really well. But I guess any plastic that has got some sort of coating then that will melt the plastic coating. I’m still becareful when using it on plastic, test first before anything.

You’re right. It’s great to have support arms; they make holding and shaping easier.
