This isn’t a super grand update or anything, but some folks were curious about me changing out the LEDs in the Super Creator kit, so here we go!

it’s funny because I’m actually on the struggle bus with the darn thing right now.

it’s technically 3 really tiny LEDs in there that are all doing something different (one steady on, one fast flashing, and one normal flashing). When I plug in the cable to the controller box, if it’s plugged in on one side, the lights won’t flash and they’re all just steady on, but if I plug into the other side of the controller box, it works fine… I’m very confused but I’m just gonna go with it lol

it’s also so bright… I think I need to diffuse them more because it’s a little overwhelming lol

Maybe go over them with a marker or add some colored cellophane in front of it to dim the light some more?

That IS super cool. I love it that lights are your “specialty”. Who am I gonna call with lighting issues? YOU kaebuster!

Colored cellophane is an excellent idea!

Thanks for sharing this! The fire effect is pretty cool! Personally, I tend to prefer the candle flicker LEDs for fireplaces, as I find they give a more natural, cosy flickering glow rather than the brighter colour-changing effects. But that’s the great thing about customising these kits, we can all make them look the way we like!

I’m inclined to agree, I’m not totally loving the effect, I also prefer a more subtle flicker. I might be trying again with different LEDs :sob:

If your not adverse to adding LED’s, I can send you the link to the flicker LED’s I recently purchased from AliExpress. I just need to know what battery pack your using so I send you the link to ones of the correct voltage.

I work at a hobby LED store that sells them, but I really appreciate the offer! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It would be even better if the light didn’t flicker! But then again, the flickering does give it a haunted vibe, which is pretty perfect for Halloween hahaha!

No worries. I think you’ve just told everyone in the community that’s in the States who to contact when they need to find LEDs.
