All 20 registered participants joined us for an afternoon of building, customizing, talking, laughing, and sharing our love of miniatures. Everyone chose from four Rolife kits: Corner Bookstore, Flavory Café, Blooming Tea Garden Super Creator, and Puppy Villa.
This was our customization Meetup, and everyone received their own Rolife customization kit to use and take home. I encouraged everyone to look through their customization supplies before getting too far into their build, since some areas are much easier to reach and customize along the way rather than after the model is completed. It was fun seeing the different ideas people came up with! 
I also 3D printed little puppies for everyone to take home, and anyone building Puppy Villa received a second puppy to add to their new miniature home. The puppies were definitely a hit! 
Of course, I couldn’t resist having a couple of prizes too! 
I really enjoy adding games and drawings to our Meetups. For Last Man Standing, everyone got up for a little break from building while I drew our numbered tokens one at a time. The last person standing won a Las Vegas magnet kit that I had received at the Robotime 9th Anniversary event in New Jersey. It was something extra from my own collection rather than a prize provided for this Meetup, and everyone was so excited about it! We also had a second drawing for an extra Suri doll I had left from a previous Meetup. 
Most of the afternoon, though, everyone was busy building! I love looking around the room and seeing people completely absorbed in their projects, chatting with the people around them, helping each other, and sharing tips. We had experienced builders as well as people who were still pretty new to the hobby, and everyone fit right in.
Thank you to everyone who came, helped, shared, built, customized, and made the afternoon so much fun. Seeing a room full of people enjoying this hobby together is exactly why I keep doing these.
