This one was a fun build! The Music Dreamer Sakura Dreamy Tour looks like a little retro TV and is very pink — it’s a great kit with some really satisfying moments and a few things worth knowing before you build.
The highlight for me was watching the front panel come together. It has a faux leather surface with knobs on the outside, and when you see how those knobs connect to actual toggle switch mechanisms on the inside, it’s such a clever little detail. The way they convert a knob turn into an on/off switch is genuinely cool.
This kit has movement and music — the cable car travels in circles, which makes it a lot of fun to watch once it’s running.
One heads up: the pantograph (that’s the jointed overhead arm with the T-bar on top of the cable car — I had to look it up!) runs into the trees if you’re not careful. I broke both of mine before I figured out a modification that fixed the clearance issue. If yours gets stuck or starts hitting the trees, that’s the culprit. A little piece swap goes a long way.
Also — when attaching the front panel, make sure the screw goes through all the layers or it won’t be secure.

@Alicesharpe @Alicesharpe, I would definitely not call it a beginner kit. I wouldn’t say it’s hard either, because I’ve already done the Coffee Factory, and that was what I used to bait. My difficulty level is on the higher side. If the Coffee Factory is a five, I would rate this kit a three out of five.

This is such a fun kit! I built it a few months ago and absolutely loved it. It’s actually one of my favorites. The retro TV design is so charming, and watching the little cable car move around is really satisfying. Thanks for sharing the tips too, they’re super helpful!
