In the depth of the ocean a beast never seen before glides along the bottum. Lights flash and the only thing you hear is the movement of the wings. It the manta ray wandering the seabed for it’s next opponent.
I finished step 1 and 2 of the manta ray in about 1,5 hours. I take my time and sand all the little plastic parts smooth after cutting them. It looks and feels like strong parts with lots of details. The build is really easy to do.
I do have 2 tips for this build. I would love it if the bags the screws come in would be bags that can be sealed again so they can fal out of the bags that easy.
Also i again noticed that metal screws and plastic don’t work together well. You need a lot of force to get them in resulting in a screwdriver that schot out of the screwhead and into the tip of my index finger. I remembered my tip of using a wax stick to rub the tread of the screw over. It helps creat more gliding and less resistance. I was then able to get the screws in easier. Now time for lunch and treating my finger haha
Wash that out good!
I am like you now and I sand like crazy. Still miss a few things but from your advice I have been sanding. That definitely takes a little extra time. But makes a difference.
Building can be very dangerous sometimes! I hope your finger recovers soon. Thanks for sharing your tip; I think it can be very helpful for anyone making plastic buikds. The beginning of your build looks great already; have fun with the rest!
That’s great to hear. I hate it when I got injured while building. I was accidentally cut myself if a scissor the other day omg bloody sore. but all good after 2 days.
