📖 [Rolife Journey] Thoughts on first Rowood kit: Wooden Flower Bouquet!

Hello everyone!

Here to share some thoughts on my journey with the Wooden Flower Bouquet kit. This was my first experience with a Rowood product, and I can say it did not disappoint  !! The result was amazing, and I was able to add it to my collection of crafted flowers. Attached is a picture of my other LEGO and building blocks flower kits.

That said, I’m not entirely sure how much I enjoyed the whole process, haha. I definitely had a great time, don’t get me wrong, but the number of flower arrangement modes was overwhelming for me! I started without any prior knowledge of this and built individual stands for all of the flowers. Later, I had to dismantle them to make the long stems, then take them apart again to create the shorter stems for the bouquet assembly. But honestly, this was my fault :’). If I had looked at the main manual that explained the assembly options, I could have saved myself a lot of time. So, that’s a tip for future Rowood builders!

Moreover, because of the various assembly modes, you’ll end up with a bunch of spare pieces (See attached picture of those, along with my ziplock bag full of other extras). I’m personally not a fan of having spare parts, but they did come in handy when I broke a couple of stem pieces while trying to assemble the bouquet. @jives and I had a tough time with the lilac because we were so scared to press the pieces together, thinking they would break; only one did, tho!

All in all, I would still recommend this set; the results were truly worth it. Additionally, since it comes in separate kits for each flower, it’s perfect for date or hangout ideas. I’ve attached a picture of @jives building a LEGO set while I assembled the final bouquet, as well as a photo of myself in pajamas, excitedly showing the bouquet to our cat, Chungus.

Thank you everyone, keep building! <3

That is a fun kit…and you did a wonderful job! That is not an easy one for a first. Your cat is adorable and you have a wonderful collection of flowers. I look forward to seeing your future models. I am currently working on my 4th wooden flower kit. The blooming book. Do you have plans for future wooden models as well?

I really enjoyed the date we had!!! I will say as my first time building the flowers, I was SUPER scared to break them, so I never got them to click in and made the building process so much more difficult… to the point where @Dehusa_Pacheco had to rebuild my lilac :sob::sob:. Having thicker fingers also made it much more difficult than I anticipated !! I love you @Dehusa_Pacheco !!!

That was a fun yet kinda tough kit. Those flowers are fragile. I did the same thing and did not quite get the instructions! But they turned out beautifully and I am glad I finished it!

The Wooden Flower Bouquet really is one of those kits where the final result feels sooooooooo rewarding, even if the process can be a bit overwhelming at first.. Your tip about checking the main manual first is spot on and will save future builders a lot of time.

Also, date builds or hangouts are honestly perfect!! And your cat is lovelyyy!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
