Some may say this is a quick build. I am here to tell you that can change! I opened the kit yesterday and knew I would be customizing. I am not a fan of the orange couch as said earlier. I began painting. In my 15 min craft today, I painted. And then I waited for things to dry.
I also made my own pictures for 3 of the 4. I also created a new rug. This is fashioned after the one in my own living room!
I included a picture once again showing my magnetic clips and how helpful they are!
I still have a few more things to put together. I am also doing a few touch ups and then will be able to set it all up. Lastly, I am going to rearrange the room a bit. I will be placing the couch under the window and put the shelving against the other wall. I already moved the lamp to the corner. I am liking how it is all coming together!
i know they are nice as is, but like you, I want to make them mine! and having things similar to my house makes it that way for sure! Although it is more work, I am really enjoying!
I am in complete agreement with you. They are fantsic models but adding your own special touch just gives a personal attachment…which in my case means " I can’t bear to part with it"…LOL! I have to start downsizing but it will be with the few that I have not personalized.
I was thinking about it as I was putting stickers on. And then after talking with you I thought what the heck.
The mat (area rug) is exactly my rug in my room! I just loved it
I love the color of the couch now. It looks more like a couch from bachelor’s space. More cozy for me. And I am really amaze with the usage of that clip. Haha
Super Creators are so much fun, and the fact that you customized yours makes it truly one of a kind! Adding that extra complexity is such a great touch — it really takes it to the next level. No rush since it’s still in progress, keep going because it’s already looking amazing. Can’t wait to see the finished version!
I used my bottles of acrylic. This took a few coats. The brown I wanted to use was enamel and that seemed to require more. But I was ok with that. I just worked on a few other things while it dried. It also made the build last longer!
For the rug, I found the rug online, saved image and inserted picture on a word doc. I then sized ot to fit and printed it out onto a cardstock!
