Here is what I’ve done so far. The box it came in was dirty so I took everything out. (I bought it aftermarket. Not Rolife’s fault.) Fortunately the wood pieces were still in plastic.
I am really not sure why this kit was rated 4/5 difficulty. The pieces have been solid. No breaks or cracks. Doesn’t seem to be any complicated features like when I had to learn to code my own combination lock in a past build. That was a challenge.
But this bunny build has been very straightforward so far.
One different thing is the wood pieces are not numbered. I realized there was a chart on page two. Half way through the build. It wasn’t very difficult to find the pieces based on shape, though. This kit also gives you zero extra pieces. I haven’t needed any so it had been ok.
I think this model would look very cool painted but I have decided I can’t get into painting it at this time. It is a little disappointing, I know but I don’t hate the neutral color of the bare wood, either.
It would be interesting to put some cardboard under the paper template and try to trace out a smaller cardboard version of this robot bunny.
It’s looking great so far! I’m glad to hear the build has been smooth, sometimes those “4/5 difficulty” ratings are scarier than they really are. The natural wood look actually suits it really well!
Thanks for sharing this! Good to know there are models where the parts are not numbered, sounds like a fun (sometimes at least) challenge to find them according to the size and shape in the manual!
