Here’s the result of my dad’s gift I made a little video and took some photos. Sadly, I don’t have much of the process since I wasn’t around… He said the design is really well done and that it’s super enjoyable to build! His only suggestion to improve the experience was that, because of his age, it’s a bit hard for him to tell the different screw sizes apart ,so he thinks it would be great if they came separated and labeled. But he really loved it!
I am working on this one now, as @Nita_Davis mentioned. The screws do come in separated packaging, the smallest one is 3mm. Its z great build to far. Because i have tremors in both hands, it made it a but tuff. There’s not a single piece of wood either.
Update: Here’s The Manta Ray by ROKR. Beautifully designed and goes together so well. Had quite a few 3mm & 5mm screws and no wood at all. My thanks go out to the design team at ROKR.
I think this is why I haven’t started my scorpion yet. I love changing things up…Not a darn thing on here I can paint…LOL! I hope it goes well for you.
It looks so good. I really want to try this one. Normally the screws with the rokr sets do come in seperate bags that have the size on them. Like the tip i shared during the spaceshuttle. I cut the small bag open en put them in a bigger bag that can be resealed with the size sticker also in them. i can take them out easier and not loos screws because the bag is open
He did so well I hope he’ll continue doing them I love how he gave suggestions too and helped the group His collection of ocean animals are super cute too!
As you can see, i use a small bowl/tray. I put the bags of the screws next to it, so that i can keep them straight. The Manta Ray only comes with those 2 screw packets, 3mm & 5mm, so freaking tiny. Its a beautiful build & i recommend it to all. No wood, at all in this kit. @Jerry_Boswijk
Nope! There’s nothing I am going to attempt on this one. It will be straight out of the box and look just like all the others. You can’t brush plastic and make it look good. I have ZERO “outside of the box” plans for this one. @Harley
