📖 [Rolife Journey] “Afternoon Baking Time”-DS029 (part 1)

Now it is time to start our “Afternoon Baking Time”. This kit begins with building the base. I prefer kits that start with the base.

Here are all the pieces that come in the kit. My kit came with glue. The glue was fresh.

This kit does not have any painting. Everything is pre-painted. It does make me a little sad. I enjoy miniature kits that come with painting to do.

I am happy that the base is pre cut. It fits together well. Glue is necessary.

Here is the wall. I really like the window detail. It all went together with no problem. Double sided tape worked well for the window screen.

Cute!! Too bad it didn’t come with any painting, I kind of thought it would have!

The last one I did, the one in the green box, had painting. I think the green box is the oldest series of corner rooms. Then the red boxes, like this one. And the newest version is in a small brown Rolife box.

I got a couple from every series. Maybe get more after I finish these. Or if I find a great deal.

Ah I see! That’s good to know.. I have all of the 3 series, but I’ve only done two of the newest ones so far, the post office and the little restaurant or w/e.

Great start, @SunnyCee. The base looks clean and sturdy, and those window details are really charming. Even without painting, it’s already coming together beautifully!!

I have a really strong love hate relationship with painting so I think sometimes I really appreciate things pre-painted hahahaha.

This is a small cute build.

Me too. Especially Xmas builds, the colour that it comes with is nice. Ofcourse adding painting will add to the uniqueness of the build.

I’ve been really loving the corner sets.

I like it when kits come with the actual paint that you need. It removes a lot of the stress and guesswork to be given the correct kind of paint in the correct shade.

I tend to not like painting when the paint is not included.

I agree, I will not paint unless it is supplied and in the instructions!:rofl:

That is a cute build. I can’t find this one in my area. I am curious if the glue already has a hole on it? If it doesn’t, how did you make a hole for it?

Yeah with the older kits it’s always a gamble if I get paint included. Probably because it’s shipped by air?

I’m too lazy to paint otherwise but I would like to try customising some day. :face_holding_back_tears: Some customised projects posted here are amazing!

The glue that came with this kit needed to have the tip cut off with scissors. The glue worked well.

I would love to see anything you customize.
