many of you know that I customized my Elsa’s Tailoring build in memory of my Grandma Betty. Well, when she passed away, I cut a “start” off of her Christmas Cactus. (My brother wanted her plant) It’s been 16 years of trying to get this start of hers to grow. Well, it finally just bloomed. There are still four other buds that haven’t opened yet. I was so excited that I started crying. I had no idea how pretty the flowers could be. I wish she could see it…or maybe she can.
I really wish @Robotime could make a wooden flower of a Christmas Cactus.
That is so wonderful for you. We have a few zygo cactus in our shade house and they have a beautiful flower. I’m sooo happy you have something beautiful of your Grandma Betty.
This is so beautiful, and so emotional
16 years of patience, love, and memory… that bloom feels like a little hello from Grandma Betty. I truly believe she can see it And yes, your wish has been passed along. I’ve already submitted the idea of a Christmas Cactus wooden flower to our design team. Fingers crossed
