What to do if you run out of shelf space?

Make a kit you can hang on your wall instead

Jokes aside, I found this kit Rolife Love Post Office to be the hardest kit I’ve had to build so far! It was an unexpected purchase since I found it for only 17.50$ on sale and couldn’t stop myself from buying it.

It was extremely challenging for me to bend the silver pipe to match the one in the instructions, I was able to get it in the right shape with a hammer in the end.

The lighting was also very tricky, you needed a heat gun to heat the shrink tubing which I didn’t have, I ended up using a hair straightener and my poor fingers :smiling_face_with_tear: since even my hair dryer couldn’t get it to shrink enough. Moreover, the soldering on the light switch is super delicate. It snapped right off when I was screwing it in and is currently being connected with superglue :smiling_face_with_tear: so if I angle it the wrong way the lights stop working. :smiling_face_with_tear: And don’t even get me started on the plants…

But this kit is very well thought out for usability. You can hang it in two ways or use the knobs to stand it up by pushing out the piece on the bottom. I think it currently looks really pretty displaying my jewelry, but this kit was the first one that almost made me rage quit.

I even made a new wall to hide the wires here:

Congratulations on completing this model after overcoming some difficulties. Rolife’s older model kits are often a bit challenging, requiring assembly skills. But once you’ve mastered them, you’ll gain experience and won’t feel intimidated by any model anymore.

Thanks, I’m glad it turned out nice in the end! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yes! It’s so fun to change things up by hanging it rather than putting on a shelf, now I’m thinking about the next one I should make

Thanks! I think so too! I love the pink colour they used for this one :pink_heart:

Thank you :heart_hands: I’m also glad I pushed through! I was want to try out more of their older kits in the future as well, it’s just getting harder to find them

Thank you! This was definitely worth it at the end to build :star_struck:

some people won this kit a few weeks ago. more people struggled with the pipe

One of the other members had the same issue with bending the pipe! I cant remember the solution but remember their struggle!

It’s just a thick cylinder of metal  so hard to bend

There was definitely lot’s of struggle :joy: my strategy was to hammer it over a hard edge and keep laying it over the diagram in the instructions until the shape was the same, then hammer it flat at the end. I also covered the pipe with a thin piece of fabric after my mistake of hammering it the first try caused the paint to chip :smiling_face_with_tear:
