I left my handy reverse tweezers to hold my broom and hat stand in place over night so the glue would set well. The stand is just a spring i made from some wire! SUCH a clever design!
Cant wait to show you all with the lights on, i also added a little halloween touch of my own im excited to show you all!
Whats your favourite little piece you have ever made? One piece of furniture or one small decorated accessory that you are really proud of and really enjoyed creating?
Mine is the little lamp in this kit! The design is clever and it looks great finished. You wait until i show you with the lights turned on, you will see what i mean!
Everything looks absolutely lovely so far! I can feel how much care and joy you’re putting into each tiny detail — that’s what makes your builds so special. The lamp and the little roses sound adorable, and I can’t wait to see the final photos with the lights on. You’re so close now @Nectarines!!
This definitely is a challenging kit
Your attention to detail is amazing tho all the tiny little bits and bobs turned out beautifully
Hopefully not too many hair pulling moments
Everything looks perfect to me. I love how you rigged something up to let it dry overnight. Sometimes we have to be a different kind of crafty for things to work out. Nobody will ever notice whatever the mistake was that you made on the Shelf. Yours is now unique to Every Other Shelf out there. Rules are meant to be broken.
Honestly, i dont think i have had many issues! The magical cafe i did from this series i had a few more troubles with. As long as you have time, then nothing is too tricky haha
I have used small mini weights to hold stuff together overnight. I have wrapped the canopy of my antique car around a salt shaker with a rubber band to hold it in place and train it to bend. I’ve used a key fob to make something level that wasn’t level that I needed to hammer on. It’s funny how sometimes our brain just kicks into high gear when we need a solution for something.. where there’s a will, there’s a way. @Nectarines
So cute. I have learned many ways to make lamps from kits like this. You can use leftover materials and create many different lamp designs. It’s amazing.
This is what i love about the old style kits, that you actually learn to use random little things to make new creations. I have learnt a lot of different techniques that give me confidence to be able to make my own creations!
