💖 [Rolife Happiness] How to get your teenage son to hang out with you

Parenting hack - how to get your teenage son to hang out with you. Buy a complicated kit that you think he will like and then loudly exclaimed - “I don’t think I will have the patience or brain power to do this one (Cuckoo Clock)”. Half and hour later, he’s here with me putting it together. Welcome to the dark side, my son! My evil work here is done!

Hahaha this is brilliant! :joy: What an awesome parenting hack — and it worked perfectly! Now he’s officially on the “dark side” with us builders. I love that the Cuckoo Clock was the kit to win him over, that’s such a cool choice. Can’t wait to see how it turns out for you both!

Hahahaha thanks for the tip! I have tried to sway miss 13 and miss 15 but they wont be caught dead enjoying something their mum enjoys :rofl::joy:
Sounds like you have a kid who cant refuse a challenge :star_struck:

Smart thinking. Luckily my daughter has her mothers creative side and seeing me building al the time sparked something in her and she wanted to also try it. But i think it was a one off experience as she’s a teenager and therefore has a short attention span haha

Hope your son gets hooked on it (in a good way)! :rofl:
If not, get a ROKR Space Shuttle for him, then I am sure he will get hooked on it :smiling_face_with_horns:

Haha your tip is brilliant. It is nice to spend some time with your son :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I think it would be really fun to build something like this with my daughter later. She’s still a bit too young for it now (2.5 years old).

Or the manta ray. I think it will be very popular among younger boys

That shuttle will definitely reel him in.

You made me laugh! What a wonderful hack! If I have kids in the future, I’ll definitely use it. Haha :laughing::rofl:

You are very smart. This way your son doesn’t have to play with his phone or watch TV. By the way, your son is quite handsome. :star_struck:

Haha, that’s genius! You’ve officially turned a complicated build into a bonding opportunity—plus, he’ll never see it coming next time! :smiling_face_with_horns: Kudos to you for being crafty and pulling him in with that parenting hack. How’s the Cuckoo Clock coming along? Did he enjoy the build process?

Love this! What a brilliant “parenting hack” — turning patience into teamwork.

Brilliant move! Now the real question is… what’s the next “impossible” kit you’re going to pretend to struggle with? :smirking_face:

That’s absolutely brilliant — parenting level: expert schemer! :smiling_face_with_horns: Welcome to the dark side… where bonding is just a “I can’t figure this out…” away from happening.

Just wait till he starts suggesting the next kit himself. That’s when you know the trap is fully set… and you’ve officially created a building buddy for life :wink:

Well played, well played :clap::sparkles:

Such a good idea! In my case, it’s the other way around hahah :joy: I’m the one who uses that trick to spend time with my dad :sparkles:
