Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone is having a day weekend!
Yesterday I spent the entire day making The Chocolate Factory, my first marble run!! Im so happy to finally try one, I love them! Kalvin’s best friend got it for me for Christmas, and he got Kalvin the ROKR Rhinoceros Beetle (MI01)! So Kalvin and I had a building date night, we built on separate tables but talked the entire time
I didnt run into any troubles with this build, other then missing a piece here and there and having to go back to double check. The gears worked great for me after running it a few times, everytime I added a new gear to the system to ran it a few times. It really worked out the kinks in it, I find it runs really smoothly because of it
I hope y’all enjoy the photos progress and end result! I made a background half way through out of some foam board so y’all couldnt see my slightly messy living room Ill post Kalvins Beetle in another post, he took photos for y’all
Here’s where I made the background, I made it out of cutting a foam board 90% of the way through and bent it. I quite liked the results so where I made a little box with a light
This looks AMAZING, @Emma_Samchek!!!
For your first marble run, you absolutely nailed it. It runs so smoothly, and the Chocolate Factory is such a joy to watch. Also, a build date night? That’s adorable! Great job!
Thank youuuuu! I love our builf date nights Sometimes he does Robotime stuff but most of the time he does his Gundam figures! I so hope to get more marble runs soon, everyone loves to try them when theyre over
Thank you! I did take an hour breather from it to make some food but other then that. I just sat there and made it with a lot of Dr.House in the background
I have done both and they run beautifully. I will NEVER try to connect the two, though. I have read from at LEAST 100 people that the motor is not strong enough to run both of them simultaneously. Considering all the time you have to spend disassembling and then reassembling to join them, I will not be doing that. You have to add gears and pulleys. If it doesn’t work properly, you have to disassemble and reassemble again. If you choose to do so, I wish the best of luck and would love to hear about your experience.
No problem. The reviews on the ROKR Official fans group page speak volumes…I would try doing a search for Spaceport connection problems or something like that in the group.
