Niiiice! This is bringing so many great memories from when I built it last year. Friendly reminder of my topic with tips for this!
So, regarding your worries here:
- There’s a wax bar included for two reasons. First, sometimes some parts won’t fit easily, and if you wax the connections between them, they should fit more smoothly. Second, while this is not a mechanical kit, the cannon deck comes with a system through which, if you move a boat you’ll add to the deck, the gunports will open and the cannons will show. The wax bar is also for that area, so the movement of the cannons will be smooth
- Don’t worry too much about the screws! You won’t be using a lot, they’re mostly here to hold together the hull area
