I finally took the plunge and painted my ROKR Treasure Box. This is a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I am happy with how it turned out. I used the left over paint that I had from a paint-by-number set.
Last week I was all about flowers. This week I am all about colors.
I wanted it to have black highlights. I don’t know what I’m doing here. I guess I was going for a general shape. The acrylic paint just layers on top easily.
This is the set I recycled the paint from. It’s still hanging in my room. And I STILL have plenty of paint left over from that set. I could easily paint another model.
This is so beautifully original!! What an amazing way to use old paints from the kit! And let me tell you, thanks to the use of so many colors, the model looks like top modern street art, which I consider the most beautiful piece of modern art.
The underground streets art movement is a great inspiration. It is my favorite form of modern art because it is made by regular people. The colors are appealing and uplifting to regular people and it often pops up in depressed places.
You turned this Rokr model into a work of art! All the colours compliment each other very well and the technique you used to paint it looks so beautiful
