☃ 🎄 [ROKR - Christmas Gift] So Happy: My November Prize Arrived!

I just received my November leaderboard prize and I’m over the moon! I chose the Cuckoo Clock, and there’s a very special reason behind it.

My grandma Olimpia, the same one who completely lost her mind (in the best way) over my customized Elsa’s Tailoring kit because she has crochet all her life, is absolutely obsessed with cuckoo clocks. A while ago I gave her one of my very first ROKR kits, the Owl Clock, completely unpainted and very “early Wenbare style” :joy:

So when I saw this one, I thought that this could be the perfect Christmas gift for her.
I can already picture her reaction!

Now I’m wondering… do you think it’s going to be very hard for me?

I’m definitely more of a Rolife girl, the DIY miniature houses are my weakness, but I still enjoy ROKR kits when I get the chance.

Either way, I’m excited to try something outside my comfort zone, especially if it ends up making her smile this Christmas.

Have any of you built the Cuckoo Clock? Tell me everything!

Congratulations on your win! I am excited for you as well. This one is not very hard to do. I did have a hard time keeping roof and eave (or fascia) pieces together while build a full section. I used glue on those pieces. Otherwise, it is fairly straightforward. Good luck to you!

Congratulations  this is an amazing build. I think your grandma will really love it :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: just read the manual and you’ll be fine. If the children in your class can make the constructions, you will definitely succeed (even if this one is more difficult)

Congratulations @Wenbare

You’re so sweet to always think of your grandma. She’s going to love this!

Thank you so much, @Nita_Davis!
That’s really helpful! I’ll keep the glue trick in mind for the roof and eaves. I’m glad to hear it’s fairly straightforward!

Thank you, @Liset! I really hope she’ll love it. And you’re right, if my kids survived their constructions, I can definitely survive this one too :joy:

Looking forward to your progress  I also started the cuckoo but put it on hold to be able to make the Christmas melody tree before Christmas

I’m sure you’ll make it, you’ve got this, @Liset!
I’m also trying to hurry a bit… first to finish the Christmas Eve Party I started yesterday, and then the cuckoo clock. Hopefully I can at least have it ready for the Reyes Magos, on January 6th here in Spain. Having it done by Christmas might be a bit too tight for me…

Good luck, you can do it :flexed_biceps:

I definitely think you are capable and will enjoy this build! I too love the Rolife miniature rooms, but I have found the Rokr products super fun! Enjoy this build…I’m sure your grandmother will be really happy and surprised!

Congratulations! This is such a thoughtful gift and I know your grandma will be over the moon!

Lots of people have made this so I’m sure you’ll have the help you need should you ever get stuck. But honestly I don’t think you’ll need help at all!

I have never built this model but I have tried other ROKR mechanical models. I think you will be successful. I think you have the capacity and skills.

Less experienced builders I might worry about. But I believe you are fully ready to tackle this challenge.

Thank you!!
I hope so, I’m a little nervous, because I know this is a big one, but also really excited to try!

Thank you so much!
I really hope she’ll love it, it feels like the perfect Christmas gift for her.
And you’re right, with so many people who’ve built it, I’m sure help won’t be far if I need it… though I’ll try my best to survive it alone first :joy:
