This has been in the back of my stash for many months and I thought I’d jumpstart building this. Life had gotten much busier these days and decided to build this as an escape.
However, I noticed that the lighting part..it’s a bit archaic in my opinion lol. I’ve just decided to use my leftover lights as I don’t have dexterity to twist the wires and heat shrink them.
So far, I’m having so much fun! For those who have done this, any pointers?
@mchipman i havent done this but ive seen it posted its a lovley kit ! I normally twist myb wires although it takes a while… ivec never heat shrunk them how does that work ?
I’ve seen a lot of folks try this, but for me maybe later—I’m not really a fan of the look. It does look good though, just not engaging for me personally. You did a great job!
This is a cute one. I have done some that requires to do the lights like that but didn’t need to heat shrink it. They provide the tape and plastic tubing where you’ll be inserting the wire and that’s it.
Have fun @mchipman I wonder what personal touches you’ll be adding on this one.
Nice choice!
I have done this kit last year and yes, the lighting is always a challenge. My husband always rescues me in this department. .
I do remember that the pot and kettle didnt sit well on the stove.
I’m sure you will do well.
Thank you so much, Joy. Yeah I had to actually superglue them down on the stove because you’re right they’re not just sitting well. Anyway, I did my own version so I can’t wait to show everybody once it’s done. @joy.licerio
Hi mchipman, Cozy Kitchen is such a lovely stash to finally bring to life. Building it as an escape from a busy season sounds exactly like the kind of project that can be wonderfully soothing. We cannot wait to see your progress, we are cheering you on all the way!
