[Beginner Tips] (Not Rolife) Monet’s Impression

I confess to a soft spot for the masters. And when I saw this kit, I was watching out for it at a good price. Being the Temu addict that I am, I got this as a freebie (although my husband tells me that nothing is ever free lol).
The wheel spun it up and I was looking for something easy. It’s 2D, very well made, had a lot of Monet’s artwork, and it was a fairly quick build.
I had no desire to paint edges because I wanted it done quickly. Not a lot of pieces and 3/5 difficulty. Perfect.

First job was putting the electrical parts together and testing the touch lights. I couldn’t work out where the lights were, and found these two yellow dots that blinded me when I turned it on.

The build was pretty straight forward. It required some sanding and waxing.

Then I saw that I had to build a stool!!! Thankfully, this one was much kinder to me.

Altogether, this is a lovely build and very enjoyable. Not sure I’ll part with it because it’s so pretty.

Next build is a Rolife.

I’ll
Start that tonight after I’ve been out wedding dress shopping with my daughter. We live in a semi rural town outside of Brisbane and her appointment is in a store on the north side suburbs of the city (we are south). Going to take a good while to get there. I hope she says yes to a dress today!

The Star Trek gif…LOL! This really is a beautiful kit. I hope you enjoy the bookshop! You have a great selection there. Congrats to the bride and groom to be.

It really is lovely Nita. Even though it is 99.9% 2D. Completely enclosed with a dust cover as well. Touch light on the roof.
And I had to include the Star Trek gif. Kirk, Spock, and Uhura - all legends.

The details of the Monet’s are beautiful! I want to get one for myself. It looks like a painting studio. I love the painting canvas and the watercolor palette. :pink_heart:

We had a win today and she found the dress!! We had the choice of taking the dress (on sale) and having neckline and shoulder straps altered using the detachable sleeves (that she doesn’t want) and any off cuts from hemming, or to have it made to her specifications. We chose to get them to make another to her specifications.

Thankyou Tricia. It’s a nice kit. You can choose one of two paintings for the easel. Which means I have another Monet picture to out into another build sometime.

Many thanks Nicole. :growing_heart:

Maybe they should. I know they have Van Gogh kits. And I love when I can get freebies of things that I want.
