First impressions
Today’s post is very special to me, because it is about a kit I received before its international release as a benefit of being a Robotime Brand Ambassador. I think it is a beautiful kit, and I really tried to do it justice with the photos.
Secret Bloomy Nook is a very special book nook because, unlike the others I have built, this one is a little smaller , and since the top is flat , if you have the other book nook from this collection, you can even stack them or place something on top. I found that very interesting.
Also, it is completely closed, and the way they added the dust protection is by closing the doors. You’ll see, it is fabulous.
Before building it, I took a good look at the materials. I always like adding some personal touches, but what I really wanted to try this time was how it feels to make the flowers now .
I learned to make flowers the hard way, and although I eventually started enjoying them, they are not my favorite part because they really test anyone’s patience. But honestly, I enjoyed these quite a lot, and they didn’t feel as difficult to make as I remembered.
It is true that now they come pre-cut , and that already makes a big difference, because my perfectionist side always wanted to cut them perfectly, and that was almost impossible. The way they come now, they already look great without needing scissors.
But let’s go step by step.

Books, lavenders and the first tiny details
At another time, I would probably have customized the books, but this time I wanted to leave them as they were. Just like I mentioned before with the plants, they now come pre-cut, and even the folding lines are already marked, so it is very easy to fold and assemble them. Since they fit very well, you don’t even need a glue stick.
The instructions are also improving, and I really like that even though I already found them very visual before, now everything feels even more detailed. As you can see in this photo, it shows you exactly where to find this flower, because it doesn’t come in a little bag, but on a cardboard sheet.
Once assembled, the lavenders are beautiful. I really love details like this, especially with their little planter. It is curious because this is the piece I showed you before: the lavender flowers are 2D cardboard pieces, and they are part of the first piece of furniture in the book nook, the one that goes on the back wall.
The gloves are also very interesting because they are made from the same piece of cardboard, folded to give them a more 3D effect. Once the books, picture frame, and straw hat are assembled, it looks adorable, doesn’t it? Also, I found the wallpaper in the background so pretty that I didn’t modify anything at all. I only painted the edges of the tools, the straw hat, and the furniture.
Flowers and tiny furniture
The chair is absolutely adorable. The fluffy part of the cushion gave me a bit of trouble because it kept coming off, so I had to use more effective methods hahaha.
The little table, as you can see, is so cute with its flowers. The sunflower has double cardboard again to create that 3D effect. The flowers on top of the table had to be glued very well with super glue because they kept moving and falling out of place. And of course, its little cat resident was already placed in its spot of honor, resting there once I put the chair in place.

The wiring and lights
Then came one of the moments I enjoy the most, although I don’t really know why: the wiring .
Honestly, in my first kits I needed help from my husband, but once I got the hang of it, it became one of the things I enjoy most. I did the first test of the touch light, and everything worked well.
The next wall was the right wall. I think the suitcase is adorable. Then it was time to work on more little plants. As you can see, now the wire fits inside a piece, and that piece fits inside the pot. This makes things much easier, honestly. Also, the plant leaves already have the hole made, and I can’t even tell you how many times I have broken leaves in the past because I had to make the hole myself.

The next step was the seed bags and the plants for the hanging shelf that goes on the right wall. I spent quite a while looking for colors to paint the shelf and plants so they would look nice together. As you can see, once the wall is fitted into the base, it looks super pretty, and the little bulb already sticks out, ready to be fitted into the ceiling once it is assembled.
Once the bulb was in place, I built the battery box. I’m still not completely sure whether to glue it firmly or not, because sometimes when I remove it after the kit has been assembled for a few days, some pieces come apart and I have to fit them back again. I will probably glue it. As long as I can open the box, change the batteries, and access the switch, there is no problem. As you can see, it has a small tab to pull it out. Since it is at the bottom, you need to be careful because it can move by accident when moving the miniature and fall out. I’m warning you because it happened to me hehe
The cable connection is very well explained this time, even with a photo showing how it should look at the end. As always, I used shrinking tubes to connect the wires properly, and since there are pieces to hold them at the bottom, everything stays perfect. The touch button for the light is inside the miniature, but it is easy to reach. You’ll see it later. I like where it is placed, although it can turn on if you pass your hand under the miniature to move it.

More flowers and personal touches
After the electrical installation, it was time for more flowers. As you can see, tool E19 is wonderful. Since the flowers come pre-cut and with the perfect size for the piece, having this tool makes the assembly much easier. They look adorable, as you can see. I also like the 3D effect the flowers have when some are placed on top of others. The sunflowers have that effect and look beautiful. They were also easy to assemble compared to how flowers used to be before. For this part, I used a glue stick. It is the best option for paper or cardstock pieces.
I also added some flowers of my own, like these pink ones inside the watering can and the other tiny plastic ones. I thought they added a nice touch.
Then came the turn of several little drawers. The shelf looks beautiful and fits into the wall, so before placing it, I added some little flowers in different colors that I had around here to give the little garden a more colorful touch. The clock and the little house are also adorable, as you can see. I painted the edges of everything in the same color, and I really like the difference it makes. Once you notice it, you can’t stop, I’m telling you…
Then came more plants for the upper shelf and an adorable little birdhouse. I decided to paint it instead of using the sticker because I thought it looked prettier this way. And with this, plus some final flowers, the left wall was finished!

The ceiling, doors and dust protection
Then it was time for the ceiling part of the book nook. This is where the light is installed. It has different pieces to place the cable, just like at the bottom, and an adorable little cat in a basket! Honestly, it is absolutely adorable.
The book nook has different transparent plastic pieces that let the light pass through but keep the dust out. I think this is a very good idea.
And attention, because here come the doors!
But have you seen how cute they are? They open and close perfectly again. They are a very original dust protector because both on the side windows and on these doors, there is transparent plastic, like on the top part, to prevent dust from getting inside. I don’t know if it is easy to see in the photos, but it is there.
At the top, you can see the little spaces in the wooden pieces where the upper “beams” will go. And once they are placed… ta-da! Book nook finished.

The switch is right there when you open the doors, and as you can see, when the light turns on, it has a very special charm.
Alvin shows you the final result: it is a beautiful book nook, both inside and outside. On the exterior, there is an image of the inside of the book nook and phrases related to flowers, such as “flowers make ordinary days lovely.”
In short, I don’t know what you think, but I am completely in love with this kit. It is a smaller book nook than I am used to, and that makes it even more charming. The details inside, like the flowers and the little cats on the chair and in the basket, give it such a beautiful touch. And although it may look a little intimidating at first because of the flowers, it is actually a very rewarding kit to build, with a lovely final result, and I think both beginners and more experienced builders can enjoy it.
