After buying different sizes of JST connectors, I finally found the exact size that matches the ports at the back of the Super Creator Power Switch (aka the aircon units).
Excited because this means I can do more modifications/customizations with the Super Creator kits, specially the ones that only comes with 1 light. I just really want to maximize using the other 2 empty ports at the back.
This is the photo of the connector that finally matched.
The reddit thread I found was totally wrong about the size. I’ll ask the exact size with the Chinese seller so I can share it. I’m not very familiar with electrical stuff so forgive me if I don’t know the name of the connector haha.
My still on going project is customizing the Pink Beauty Secret for my daughter. Haven’t really worked on Rolife kits recently as my daughter have started going back to school and we’ve been really busy helping her catch up since she’s a SNED student in a mainstream class.
Anyway, I hope ti work on it further thus July but I guess we’ll still be a bit busy by then.
If I ever get to finish this, I’ll share a guide on how to recreate the neon lights but for now, off to Mommy duties.
I can totally relate to the frustration of finding a reddit thread that turns out to be wrong. I’m excited for the guide, for now, it’s inspiring to see how you balance passion projects with family priorities.
That’s such a useful discovery! I love seeing all the customization possibilities for Super Creator kits, and I hope you get some time for your project between all the Mommy duties.
That’s fantastic that you finally found what you were searching for. I’m looking forward to seeing your final modifications on Robin’s Beauty store. I hope that she settles into school.
@khimmymade this is a genuinely useful discovery for Super Creator customization. Finding the matching connector after trying different sizes opens up so many lighting possibilities, especially for kits with extra empty ports. The Pink Beauty Secret project for your daughter already sounds very special.
@Kim_Kieffer seeing this connector idea inspire an actual lighting test is exactly why shared tips are so valuable. Your photos make the customization potential really easy for other builders to picture.
