Ever wish there was a way to dim the LED light strips from normal bright sometimes harsh white light to a softer, warmer light? Well I have ! And, I do not see the need to purchase remote dimmer control devices which then need to be allocated to a single kit build. I have been searching for a cost effective alternative to automatically dim down the harsh bright white lighting output for some LED strips or “fairy” lighting strands.
Will need to do more testing on a simple, easy to install product that does not take any tools, nor skills to install that will change the harsh white down to a warm soft light. Testing will need to include heat resistance, heat aging, adhesion, and, most of all effectiveness to meet what I will require in my current build, a warm soft illumination of light that bathes the structure architecturally.
Began simple testing on my external portable light box, shown in the attached photo. The device can output from 2500K (warm) up o 9000K (WHITE) lighting.
In this first test it was staged at 9000K and as one can see in the photo, there is an automatic dimming effect once the product is applied. It can be easily removed as well. So it will not damage my portable light source device.
Stay tuned, it will take me many weeks of the current kit build to finally install the LED light strips and tryout this interesting product.
