Opened 3 Kits .. Finished None

Is the Weather Killing Anyone Else’s Motivation?:cloud_with_rain:

Is it just me? I already have three kits that I’ve opened and started working on, but I still haven’t finished any of them.

I’m just not in the mood lately, maybe it’s because of the weather here in the Philippines. It’s currently 31°C and raining, but since it’s so humid, the rain actually makes the heat feel even worse. Instead of cooling things down, it just feels like the hot streets are steaming everything up.

Thank goodness for air conditioning. It’s the only reason I’m surviving right now. My electricity bill, though? That’s another story… I don’t think I’ll survive that. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Really hoping we get some cooler weather soon so I can finally get back to building my kits!

@Anje_Leonoza_Mira yuck. It’s been super hot all weekend here also. But supposed to be in the 100’s later this week. I’ve been hibernating lol

Haha, same! :joy: At this point, staying indoors feels like a survival strategy.

My country is also quite hot. Using a fan while working almost blew the leaves off the trees. But there’s nothing I can do without a fan. It’s terribly hot.

Humidity is just the worst. Maybe, take a break and recharge your batteries after a cool shower.

Here, we’re seeing temperatures of 36–38 degrees—with the “feels-like” temperature sometimes hitting the 40s—and I don’t have air conditioning!

I hope for a cooler weather as well with everyone. It’s good to be near in mostly places with a lots of trees.

You’re in Vietnam right? i hope it will be cooler soon.

I can totally relate. Hahahaha it making the craft messy.

That’s true. I’m doing that actually. Trying to build after a cold shower. But just an hour or less, it’s getting hot again.

Oh no! I hope you’re all doing alright.

I have been opening kits as well, and looking at the pieces and «nææh». Hehe, I think its the summer, the sun and the heath

Unfortunately in Victoria Australia it is winter… yukky cold so great weather to rug up and create some beautiful kits. It is too cold to go out so l expect I will be building alot more kits.

I know how it feels sis.. Laban lng tau este wallet natin. Lol!
I have opened a booknook two weeks ago and I am far from finishing it.

You’re definitely not alone! :joy::yellow_heart: Hot, humid weather can really drain the motivation to do anything, especially detailed miniature work. Sometimes it’s okay to let those kits wait until you’re feeling inspired again. They’ll still be there when the weather (and the electricity bill ) is a little kinder. Wishing you cooler days and plenty of cozy building time soon!
