New project: Telescope

Since I am on a short stint (7 days) house/dogsitting job, I brought along something that I felt confident I could finish in that period of time…along with the house painting work I will be doing. The ROKR telescope. I think I am going to do it much like the Vidascope I did previously. Vitascope Finished

I think it was Liset that did this a year ago. It looks very cool. Customizing? Staining, Natural?

@Nita_Davis I did this a while ago. Not too hard. Just fragile. Good luck!

Yes… @jeanneL . @Liset did an amazing job on this one. Mine is going to be a mix of stain and black and gold paint. Similar in ways to my vidascope

It looks great. nice work

This is quite a fun kit, especially your idea to stain/paint it in black and gold is amazing

I’m curious to the end result, the vitascope turned out amazing

I think that colour choice is very pretty. Enjoy building while dog sitting @Nita_Davis

I am going to be taking my time on this one because I have other house painting work to do so it will be a few days

Thank you David. I just treat them all as if they were fragile. No broken parts yet. Wish me luck @Grey74

I think this telescope looks like a perfect project for your 7-day housesitting stay! I love that you already have an idea of how you want to build and customize it based on your Vitascope. Happy building! Enjoy!

@Nita_Davis this is such a nice kit happy dogsitting … and have fun building … has your customised kit come yet ?

Mine sits on my desk at work, still one of my favorite completions. What a great model! I also had my very first Robotime customer service experince as I got agressive on the little u shaped piece that holds it to the tripod. The very last piece to the kit! After failing with glue and trying to manufacture something I checked online, paid my 5 dollars and was all set.

Let us know how it goes! No painting job on this one?

Thank you @ThaoNguyen Not much done yet, but I will get there.

Thank you very much. I am feeling like a rookie on this one. I just made a huge mistake and I’m not sure how much I have to tear apart to fix it. This one is not going well for me at all
