Itās so fun that you and your mom were able to share in the craft together. I am excited to see your clock. @tpak
I like jigsaw puzzles to a point. Once I found the Robotime models, I got quickly addicted to them and havenāt done a jigsaw one in ages. My mother (at 84) can still pretty much do one (1000pc) per day. She will be the one who receives my coffee factory, as I donāt drink the stuff. LOL! @JoAnn_Branick
What a great idea. @Kycso
Thatās such a good memory to haveā¦and a wonderful AI adaptation. @Anje_Leonoza_Mira

All of the Christmas kits are just so adorableā¦and family oriented for fun. @Carle
What an interesting way for your dad to test your knowledge yet making it fun as well. Thanks so much for sharing. @Yelya
Gingerbread houses are such a fun tradition. My son and his wife (along with their friends) still make these, even in their early forties.
Growing up without a father figure wasnāt easy. Mum was busy working to make a living and so I was raised by my grandparents and uncles. We are a very close knitted family where everyone is just supporting each other. I remembered following my grandpa around everywhere when he was doing carpentry work. He was very talented. He was able to build table, chairs, cabinet, wooden plates in a shape of a leaf, embroidery and other crafts. Over the years a lot of his work has been lost but I was able to managed to save some. My grandpa is a farmer, carpenter and a crafter. I love his work. Sadly grandpa passed away in 2019. So now when I get involved with building miniature kits, crafting and gardening, it makes me feel that grandpa is still around. That is the closest that I could get to feel close to him.
When I saw Rokr releases the Cuckoo clock I was literally in tears. Because grandpa used to have a vintage clock similar to it. He used to have it hanged up on the wall and I still remembered that it has a pendulum swinging side to side.
So when I completed building the Cuckoo clock I have it sitting proudly in the living room.
Speaking about mumā¦she is the most courageous and loving mother. She has done and sacrificed so much for us. She is very kind hearted and always considerate of others. She has retired now so she enjoys her time doing gardening a lot. She always get excited when I purchased new plants home. When I get busy with work, she would be the one who helped look after the garden and making sure they are well look after.
Since she loves gardening, I will build Cathyās Garden House for her. She is currently in Vietnam looking after grandma. She will be coming back to Australia in a few months time, so I will be gifting it to her. In the mean time, I will just have to keep it a secret so I can surprise her.
She really enjoys my first Robotime kit which is the Blooming flower box. So I hope she will like this one too.
As a child of Mexican descent, I remember going to the Panaderia (mexican bread store) after church on Sundays. My parents would take us in and the smell from the bakery would hit you immediately on the sidewalk! What a glorious smell! The aromas and visuals of the colorful breads they created. It was art for sure. Beautiful Conchas, cookies, pastries and cakes. It means so much to me that even today at 53 yrs old I take my family every chance we can to the same bakery. Even though we live about 40 miles away from it. Just the memories, the flavors, the heartwarming feeling I get when I do this with my family. Brings me to how I felt with my parents walking in there. I link this feeling to beccas bakery. the scenes arent the same but seeing the goodies on the counter, the packages, the colors all immediately reminded me of that bakery. Thank you Rolife for this!
Awwwwā¦this is such a wonderful memoryā¦and espressing your feelings thru art is a very good way to do so. @Natasha_Stanley
Indeed, it is!
I remember it was a calm and easy build.
I cook and bake every now and then, whenever I have the time.
