💞 Mother’s Day & Father’s Day Giveaway Round 2-A Family Crafting Story 💞(closed)

I love the addition of the greenery and tiny boat. Excellent job @Mari

I grew up in a family of crafters, where creativity was part of everyday life. My dad used to build houses and do woodwork, while my mom crocheted. My aunts and grandmother were all fiber artists—they could crochet, sew, and cross stitch. My uncles and grandpa also loved working with wood. :>

Some of my most special childhood memories were with my sisters and cousins. We would sit together, watching our aunts create—building wooden puzzles and folding paper origami into beautiful little vases. We also tried it ourselves, putting together simple wooden puzzles like airplanes, birds, and dinosaurs. Those quiet moments of creating side by side made crafting feel natural and joyful to me.

Growing up in that kind of environment shaped who I am today. I fell in love with painting, drawing, and making things with my hands—and now, I run my own crochet business. Crafting isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s something that connects me to my family, my childhood, and the love that was shared through creating.

If I could choose a Robotime kit to represent this moment, I would choose Rolife Ada’s Art Studio. It beautifully reflects the creative environment I grew up in, surrounded by art, handmade pieces, and inspiration from the people I love.

Ada’s Art Studio feels like a small world filled with creativity, just like my childhood memories. It represents how those simple moments of watching, learning, and creating with my family slowly built my passion for art and crafting. Now, as I continue creating through my crochet business, it reminds me that everything I make carries a piece of where I started.

Aww thank you Nita. :pink_heart: She really was an amazing and independent lady and I do miss her dearly. I wish your mother well and I hope she’s enjoying life after retirement.

She absolutely is. She will still sew pillows and stuff for people (once in a while)but mainly enjoys her gardening. @JDisaduck

When I was a child, I remember doing small crafting activities with a family member, like folding paper and making simple handmade things. It never came out perfect, but they always encouraged me and made it feel meaningful. That taught me to enjoy the process instead of focusing on mistakes or results.

If I connect that memory to a Robotime kit, I would choose the Rolife Cathy’s Flower House miniature house. It reminds me of that same feeling of patience and care, where you slowly build each detail and watch a small, cozy scene come to life step by step.

Thank you !@Nita_Davis!
