Mixed feelings and some progress

Today building these items proves again that this is where i find my peace. My wife got a now job offered yesterday so happy on one side but on the other side a best friend and colleague got diagnosed with kidney cancer and spread to his hart l, lymph and stomach wall which makes me very sad. The painting in this kit helps me process and clear my head.

Such difficult moments! I’m really happy for your wife, but yes, happiness can’t feel complete with that kind of news :raising_hands: Sending you lots of strength! It’s wonderful that you’re able to find some peace through your hobby. And thank you for sharing it, expressing what we feel is so healthy, even though we often don’t do it.

@Jerry_Boswijk Very difficult. You want to be happy for your wife and you should be and that is ok. But then saddened by your friends news. Support and presence are important. I do believe in prayer - not always answered like I want but never hurts.
But important is peace for you and it is good to care for yourself too.
Take moments to care for yourself which wil only lead to ability to work through all this. We are here for you!

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend — that must be incredibly hard. It’s wonderful, though, that you’ve found some peace through building and painting. Crafting really can be such a gentle way to process emotions and quiet the mind. Sending you strength and hoping your friend gets the best possible care.

It sounds like you’re carrying both happiness and sadness in your heart right now. Crafting can be such a healing space to slow down and process everything. Wishing your wife all the best in her new job, and sending strength and comfort to you and your friend.
