Mississauga - Canada Meetup Review

Hello ROKR Community,

I recently attended the Mississauga meet-up hosted by @Orangesaurus last Sunday, and I wanted to share my newfound appreciation for the hobby and ROKR. The event had about 25 people in attendance, and it was excellent!. The venue was held at the Mississauga Library, and it was easy to commute, with a clean and relaxing atmosphere. This was the first time I’ve heard about ROKR and their products, and I’m impressed by the quality and the gratification of completing a project. Everyone in attendance was friendly, and Orangesaurus did an exceptional job hosting.

I personally worked on the shotgun, and it was my first time building a ROKR product. I never would have imagined how relaxing it is to follow the detailed instructions and create something. After finishing the product, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride that I had not felt in a while.

After the event ended, I showed my friends and family what I had accomplished, and they were impressed by the quality. I started exploring the other models available, and I was surprised by how many piqued my interest. I’m personally interested in building the AK47, marble sets, and cuckoo clocks next. My aunt, who loves puzzles and has never heard of ROKR, even requested to attend the next event.

Overall, I want to thank ROKR and Orangesaurus for the peaceful and relaxing Sunday afternoon and for hosting the event. I’m strongly considering picking up additional sets, and I’ve introduced the hobby to many of my friends and family. I hope there are future meet-ups in the GTA and look forward to meeting new people in this wonderful community.

Thank you again,

-Andretcho

@Andretcho !!!

Thank you so much for sharing this, Andrew. Your words truly mean a lot to me. I’m so glad the meetup was a relaxing and meaningful first experience with ROKR, and that building the Justice Guard gave you that sense of calm and accomplishment.

It really makes me happy knowing you shared your build with friends and family, and that your aunt is now interested too. That’s exactly the kind of community I hope to create. Thank you for being part of such a wonderful Sunday, and I hope we get to build together again soon.

Warmly,

Miriam + Michael
