Part 1 of Lily’s Porch is officially done and I already feel so attached to this build
I started with all the painting and honestly… I thought it was going to be the most tedious part, but it ended up being one of my favorites. Watching each piece go from plain to cozy and full of life is just so satisfying
It did take a couple coats to get everything nice and even—but I had a little advantage My fiancé is a painter, so I got to use really good Sherwin Williams house paint for the white and it made SUCH a difference. The finish came out super smooth and clean and honestly elevated the whole look
The chairs especially gave me a hard time… I ran out of super glue halfway through and regular glue takes FOREVER to dry so we’re learning patience over here lol
But seeing all the little details come together (even the tiny lamp ) makes it so worth it. Now everything is prepped and ready for the next stage… FLOWERS
I think I’m going to take a little break and work on a different kit for a bit—this one was a lot and I need a mental reset but I’ll definitely be back to finish it soon
