With the month almost over, I’m currently sitting at #11 on the leaderboard! One spot away from the Top 10… so close, yet so far! Of course, who wouldn’t want to make it into the Top 10, right? But hey, I’m still grateful to be here and happy with how far I’ve come!
Lately, I’ve been spending more time learning my way around Craftime, spinning the wheel 10 times more than the free spin (and getting mostly 5’s - at this point, I’m thinking a better luck next time is better than spending 20 points and just getting 5!), knowing that this is our last month in the Robotime community before we all make the move. So, if you haven’t seen me around as much, that’s probably where I’ve been!
As much as I would have loved to squeeze into that Top 10 before the month ends, I’m not losing sleep over it. I’ve enjoyed the journey, the crafting, and most of all, being part of this wonderful community.
And honestly? I’m pretty excited about what’s coming next! With Craftime, we’ll have the chance to use our points to get the kits we love, rather than having to rely on making it into the Top 10 or Top 30. That sounds like a win to me! More crafting, more possibilities, and hopefully more of the kits on our wish lists!
So, will I make it into the Top 10 before the month closes? Who knows! I’ll keep crafting, sharing, and enjoying the ride.
Thank you, Robotime community, for the memories. And here’s to a new chapter on Craftime!
I didn’t realize that the month is almost over! How time flies so quickly! I also never paid attention to the leaderboard and points in the new platform. This month has been a mixture of chaos for me. I got to spend some “relaxation time” during my vacation in Las Vegas which turned out not to be relaxing at all coz of all the things going in the workplace. I am on vacation and I am dealing with issues over there. So it seems like I was never on vacation. On a lighter note, i was so happy to visit a physical store with Rolife kits. That is heartwarming for me. Touching each box feels so different. Best of luck @Gidge ! Hope you make it to Top 10 for the last time here in the old platform and see u at Craftime! I also would like to thank each of the members here who have been very supportive and enablers of my hobby. I will surely miss this old platform.
Very well said @Gidge I have seen you in Craftime and yes, I agree that there you can finally use your points to choose the kit you really want. No more pressure of staying in top 10 or 30. Goodyes are always bittersweet but memories will always be there and we adapt to change. See you in Craftime!
I hadn’t realized that this month is already coming to an end. I’ve had so much to take care of lately. Having a new platform is really exciting; the ability to redeem vouchers is a fantastic feature—it means you can get the models you want without having to haggle or fuss over the details.
I am with you here. I admit when I am on new site, I fell a sense of relief. I can respond to who I want to. No fear of putting one person ahead of another and I am going to say this… I can comfortably respond to someone without thinking my response may put them ahead of me. When you are so close it really is a challenge. I do not want to be selfish and I want to celebrate with my friends!
I feel like my only competition on the new site, is me or really no one! and I like that
That is so true. Thank you for the insight @jeanneL !
Being part of the Robotime community has also taught me that not everything is about me. Sometimes, simply liking a post or leaving a comment—even a simple “thank you,” “congratulations,” or “you’re welcome”—is already a wonderful way to show support and appreciation.
More than the points we earn from these interactions, it’s the thought that someone took the time to look at our work, appreciate it, and leave a like or comment that truly matters. It reminds us that behind every post is someone who put time, effort, and love into creating something.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about the points. It’s about the connection, encouragement, and kindness we share as a community.
Haha that’s certainly very exciting, especially since it’s the last time with the leaderboard. I have to say, it’s bittersweet but it’s also exciting to be able to share more crafts on craftime. Good luck with the leaderboard @Gidge there’s still quite some time
Honestly, I’m having a hard time figuring out the new website, haha! There are some giveaways I can’t seem to find—I only know about them because they get posted here.
As for the roulette wheel, I always just win 5 points—same as you. I really hope they make some improvements; otherwise, I don’t think many people will bother participating in anything.
i have been trying for 2 weeks now, not on the app but on the computer website and i can’t get my head around it and i think i just might just give up on it and just not bother anymore trying to figure things out on there
I think this is a great mind frame to have, I am so grateful for anything I’ve ever received whilst being part of this community and quite frankly, I can’t believe how much I have already received
I came on here with my very first kit and I’ve won 2 kits from the site, 1 kit from the Facebook page and 1 kit from being directed to Reddit - this is way more than I would have ever expected
I just came to find like minded people and if I got no kits from that then that would have been absolutely fine
I think I’m mid 20’s for the last month here, I never really get any higher than that anyway (I hope you scrape into the top 10 though, you deserve it)
Me too, I came here from Facebook. I’ve won a kit from my first random draw contest here, one from the Rolife moment competition, two from the leaderboard, and one from the Facebook group. It’s a brilliant strategy because I felt so valued and appreciated that I went out and spent way more than I’d planned to on kits.
Haha totally, I’ve bought a couple and put them away for Christmas gifts and I also bought my friend one for their birthday but more so because they were a moomin fan than anything else
I do always wonder how they can afford to be so generous in giving away so many kits tbh
Possibly the production cost is lower because of the scale - and they probably know that it’s a great way to get us hooked and buying all of the kits in the series
I absolutely agree! (as I said) I was starting to feel too competitive and started to back down a bit. Just having fun. Yea I moved out of the top ten but I had been in there for months. It was ok to let someone else enjoy!
