It’s your fault. 
I had no interest to build flowers until I saw others making them. And now I have several of them to build.
I’m away from home all week, so I took a flower with me since I couldn’t take the build I’m working on. It’s so nice to do a simple and quick build. I chose the Iris as my first single flower because it reminds me of my grandmother. I didn’t do much to it besides painting the edges like I usually do. It adds dimension to the pieces.
Big or small builds, the peace and contentment it brings is the best feeling!

Tkaplan, the Iris is such a beautiful choice, especially with your grandmother in mind. Your painted edges sound like the perfect little touch, they really give the petals more depth and life. A quick build away from home is pretty much the nicest kind of creative comfort, and your post makes that feel so real!

This was a great choice. I made one for my mom. This is her favorite flower and as my post told, has such a wonderful memory for us.
