I did it! Took a little longer than I wanted to but it was worth it! I love the amusement park theme and the castle facade in the front is really quite adorable.![]()
The quality of the parts were actually quite nice. The colors are laminated so they definitely pop. The pieces came apart almost exclusively without issue and minimal sanding or using Nicky to remove excess tabs. I only wish all of Rolife kits were made like this.
The accents of combined wood and paper worked well together. Several parts like the flags and banners were assembled together and melded nicely. The carousel gave me some Minor inconvenience with assembly but the fault was my own and not the kits it terms of assembly.
Pros: colors are amazing! Instructions are very well laid out and easy to follow. Pieces were thick and meaty! I didn’t feel like I was going to break them while assembling. The gold painted parts were in particularly nice. They mixed well with the kit and I only wish there were more! The lights on the carousel are really nice. LEDs can shine in different ways as seen in the video and add a whole different feel to the kit. It is powered by usb-c which I prefer instead of batteries.
Cons: The one lamp on the middle of the kit seems off. Feels last minute and random and doesn’t really offer much in terms of lighting or aesthetic. The trees and shrubs in the kit really need to be more 3D. Painted shadowing on a part just doesn’t do justice to the beauty on this. It does need more 3d pieces in general. I enjoy the frozen drinks at the ice cream stand and small flowers. But imagine more flowers to the carousel, or more flowers along the pathways?! I think this kit could benefit also from more brass or gold fixtures to bring more dimension and more class to this already wonderful kit.
Modifications: only really painted the edges using either acrylic or furniture markers as needed also added the greenery to the trees and shrubs
I’m review I am proud of this one. I plan on showcasing it at my meetup next weekend! Here are some pics and a link to my YouTube page as well (like, subscribe and share ![]()
