I decided to paint the joints between the bricks a different color. The brown didn’t look good with the gray bricks. It took me a lot of time, but I’m glad I did it. The base plate is finally finished. I’ll continue building tomorrow. I’m still debating what color to paint the stairs. I think it will be light gray. Will that look good?

That was such a great choice!! The joints look so much cleaner now, and the gray really pops. Light gray for the stairs sounds perfect to me!

I painted the stairs already today. I thought the gray wouldn’t look so good, since the top step has grout and bricks again. I painted the stairs the same color as the grout on the base plate.
