Today I decided to darken the gray a bit. I wasn’t sure how it would look, so I painted the back of the piece in two different shades of gray (you won’t see this later, because the back of the piece will be against the wall).
Thank you @Nita_Davis I also like the darker gray much better. The lighter gray looked more blue in the photo than it actually was. I just found it a bit too pale I just don’t think the green color covers well; I think I had to apply four coats. Do you have the same issue with this color?
Omg I love the colors now than before. The colors blend so well and the contrast among light and dark shades is great even the floor. I love its gray colors.
You’re welcome. I can get you since it’s hard to decide especially if you can’t undo the things that you’ve decided like painting. Yes, I’m happy too that it goes well according to your plan.
That roof is wood…it should absorb pretty quickly. That MDF is sealed so tight that the paint just lays on top. I much prefer wood over MDF, especially because you can stain it if you like. @Liset
So I am curious because not my area of expertise (ask me about NICU or OB) the pieces that have color on top like the snowmen or the little white exhaust pipes on my Titanic. Sometimes the edges just have a hard time taking color. and they appear to have layers. Is that MDF? and the super thin wood sometimes used for little furniture, I thought was like a Basswood or Balsa. am I right?
Thanks @Nita_Davis for help
