FROM CRUST TO CRAVINGS — Chillbay Pizzeria Part 4: LIGHTHOUSE, CAMERA, ACTION!

AND WE’RE OPEN! I am so excited to show you around.

First, let me show you the finished pizzeria! :pizza::tada:

The final piece of the puzzle is the lighthouse, and this little seaside pizza shop is officially complete!

I have to say, this build turned out absolutely adorable. I expected the lighthouse to be much bigger — maybe as tall as my Moomin House — but it’s only about 10 inches to the very tip. Still, good things really do come in small packages!

And the moving parts? Easily one of my favorite things about this kit!

:pizza: The pizza display rotates.
:woman_raising_hand: Our server swings from side to side while welcoming guests, two pizzas in hand.
:dove: And my absolute favorite? The little seagulls flying above and around the lighthouse!

It’s the tiny details and movement that make the whole scene feel alive. I could watch those seagulls go around all day. :joy:

SO, WHAT DID I THINK OF THE BUILD?

:+1: THE PROS

• Fairly straightforward and easy to assemble. I actually found this easier than building the Dream Gift Factory.

• Absolutely adorable! The seaside pizzeria and lighthouse make such a charming little scene.

• Moving parts! The rotating pizza display, swaying server, and flying seagulls add so much character.

• Easy-to-identify pieces. I didn’t mix up any parts during assembly, which is always a win when you’re dealing with tiny components!

• A satisfying build without too much fuss. Watching the different elements come together was a lot of fun.

:wrench: THE CONS (OR LESSONS LEARNED!)

• You’ll want a cutter to separate the pieces from the boards neatly, specially because the boards are thicker than usual. I didn’t use one, and a few pieces ended up slightly damaged. Thankfully, those parts are hidden once everything is assembled, so no harm done! Honestly, I didn’t know what I was thinking … I usually have a cutter on hand.

• This was my first time trying to build using only what came in the kit — no extra glue, just the supplied double-sided tape. I also left most of the edges unpainted because I wanted to keep the original look of the kit rather than add my own finishing touches.

Was that the best decision? Who knows. :joy: But somehow, it all came together beautifully!

WOULD I BUILD IT AGAIN? ABSOLUTELY.

In fact, if I had to do it all over again, I’d happily build it the same way — no painting, no extra fuss, just enjoying the process and seeing where it takes me.

This little pizzeria has completely won me over.:pizza: And now I have a seaside restaurant with a lighthouse, flying seagulls, and a server who’s probably already exhausted from carrying those two pizzas around.

Thank you for following along on this tiny adventure! That’s a wrap on From Crust to Cravings.

Now, excuse me while I order my favorite pizza for dinner, while I find a place to display this little beauty. :joy:

Thank you very much @Grey74 … It’s too cute. I was afraid I’d ruin it if I added stuff that might not even belong to it.

It’s nice that I didn’t really run into any problems building this (except for that one little piece that escaped my tweezers, which I found with the help of my trusty broom) … Thanks again, @Jo1
