Finished -Blossom Book Booth

Tomorrow we head home. So today I finished this beautiful kit.
Pros:
• It is so pretty and the theme of a little book swap in a phone booth is just wonderful. I think I’ve said before that it reminds me of the street libraries that popped up during Covid.
• I didn’t use a lot of glue. All the pieces snapped together well with only a couple requiring a little wax (because I didn’t want to risk pushing too hard and breaking things)
• The battery pack is hidden in the mailbox (genius) and the wiring setup is straight forward and easy
• The use of foam for the books is a great idea
• There was plenty of spare parts (particularly the little bits that seem to get lost)

Cons:
• I wish there were more flowers to put on the tree to add some depth. (I plan on adding some when I get home).
• I managed to lose a part (or two) - don’t ask how - but changed a couple of things to cover
• There aren’t really any cons to be honest. This is a lovely build and it has become one of my favourite builds so far.

Tip:
The instructions indicate to curl the outer edges of the paper flowers before attaching but I decided to use an embossing tool and some leftover foam to give them shape.
I did a little video but it won’t upload.
I believe that Robotime are on a winner with this kit.

This turned out really cute! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: Great work, and thanks for the in-depth review!

Thanks so much. I’m really impressed with it. It says that it should take 4-5 hours but I probably did it in about 8 hours over a couple of days.

This turned out really nice. It is very hard for me to “pack” what I think I need when going on house and dogsitting jobs…but you did an excellent job without all of the extras.

Thanks very much Nicole.

I will look forward to seeing any updates you do once at home. I love your idea of adding more flowers.

I think it will add more depth to the tree. I also wanted to do something with the tiled base to make them more 3D so I might do that tomorrow once we get back home.

I like the looks of it. Seems like a great beginner kit for the meet ups

I believe it would be but I think most will have to take it home to finish it.

You are my welcome

Cute! I love how the tiny touches. The rabbit figurine, teapot, and flowers. It brings so much warmth and personality.

This looks so great! You have inspired me to add this to my stash.

@Suzanne_Jones I hope you had a lovley time away …. This looks great and the foam for the books is a good idea .. I might look into this one as in the UK our red phone boxes have practically all but vanished ! Xxx I think adding a few more flowers a nice idea x

This is definitely my favorite of the new releases so far. This one, the Vienna Bookstore, and the coffee cart are my must have new kits!
You did a fantastic job on the flowers! Please show us what and how you added more flowers to the tree!

Where is the telephone? I love all the books. This booth reminds me of an old old show called Get Smart. Maybe someone here remembers it??
Either way, I digress. This is cute and it looks like it was fun to make!

Thankyou Anje. I think it’s very cute.

I hope you do Kim. It’s such lovely kit.

We used to have red phone boxes a very long time ago in Australia. They had a flat roof. They are only found in museums now. Or people’s back yards because some purchased them and added them to their gardens.
