Hi there! ![]()
The final post about this kit—which I’ve been wanting to build for a long time—is finally here.
It didn’t turn out to be a difficult kit, to be honest; it has lots of accessories and, well, plants, hahaha.
My favorite part was the mushrooms—they’re super cute!
There’s also a wire part—well, the ladder is simple enough, but the bit that hangs next to the bed with the little bells was really hard, haha; it didn’t turn out quite the way it was supposed to.
Luckily, it gets camouflaged by all the stuff inside.
I think it’s good that the kit includes plants, but I don’t feel the marine plants go well together; they don’t match and look odd. I believe there are very beautiful exotic flowers available.
That mini door is adorable! Hehe, and the swing on the side, too.
Although, as I mentioned before, I don’t think that Japanese treat really goes with it—maybe a tart, a cupcake, or even some fruit!
I like the structure, and it’s uncomplicated since it consists of two plastic pieces that fit together.
Plus, they look really nice once you put them together.
Even those little leaves look lovely covering the holes. I love those little details.
That said, I have mixed feelings.
I love those hanging plants.
However, I find the kit very dark; the lights are covered by white plastic, which makes them even less visible.
I would change the lighting setup to make the interior look brighter; it’s a shame that it looks so dark even when the lights are on. It loses its magic.
Now for what I like best—positive and negative aspects:
Pros:
-
a magical miniature that draws you right into the scene
-
variety of accessories and plants
-
striking, original mushrooms
-
details on the upper section
-
the trunk
-
the side swing
negative:
-
marine plants don’t go well together
-
Japanese fish don’t go well together
-
The floor looks too flat; all the wood grain is visible. Perhaps a green moss—like the one on Fluffy’s roof—would be ideal.
-
The lighting is poor, making it look very dark.
And now, here is the video I created.
