I recently Finished my christmas lodge and decided to move onto something easy! The bonsai tree! I asked a few of you for ideas for glitter or sparkles and ive decided on @joy.licerio and @Jo1 ideas of using a clearing Glitter glue on the sakura petals! I think it was a great idea and it turned out amazing! I love Sakura and even drink it i would go all the way to Japan just to collect the petals.
Enjoy this Sakura Facts
Cherry blossom trees (sakura) are iconic, short-lived, spring-blooming trees belonging to the Rosaceae family, symbolizing beauty and fragility. Renowned for their pink and white flowers, they are primarily ornamental with over 300 varieties, often blooming for just one to two weeks. They are central to the Japanese cultural tradition of hanami (flower viewing).
In Japan, sakura represents the fragility of life and marks the start of spring. The tradition of hanami involves picnicking under the trees, a custom dating back to the Nara period (710–794). The Yamataka Jindai Sakura in Yamanashi, Japan, is estimated to be over 2,000 years old. While many ornamental cherry trees have a relatively short lifespan of 15–30 years, some species, such as the black cherry, can live for over a century.
Cherry blossoms are considered the national flower of Japan
It looks so pretty! The glitter on the petals is such a lovely touch! I’d love to go to Japan one day to see the cherry blossom trees… it would be like a dream!
I’m going in autumn, so instead of the sakura flowers, I’ll see all the brown and orange landscapes, which are also really beautiful. And it’s not peak season, so I’m hoping there will be fewer people and I can enjoy the country more without so many crowds.
