[DIY & Creativity] Magic harp - step 3/4

Tonight at crafting night I completed 2 more steps. I couldn’t just stop after step 3 because I had to make the other side in step 4 and I could attach both sides to the main structure.

I made sure that all cogs were sanded and waxed so I hope with the next steps they work like they have to.

I just added a little more color. I will wait until I have added some more pieces. When I see which parts are still visible, I might have to add more color.

Don’t mind the pictures, we did not feel like putting all chairs on the floor.:rofl: We just cleared a few tables so the 4 of us could sit and craft. 1 is doing crochet. And my mom is helping the participant of my meetup with her blossom book booth. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You’re doing great! I really want to see it finished in those colors.

Haha, ever since you mentioned the chairs, I’ve been looking at them even more.

@Minus_88 :heart:that you are taking your time on this. I often get hurried and excited when completing something I have wanted to do and miss crucial steps. But I do love when you get in the “ZONE” lol

Thank you! 2 more steps to go, so it all depends on how I can contain myself when I build the next step . I hope to still do 2 building sessions for this one.

I love to get in ‘the zone’ as well. And to be honest, I found it very hard to stop after step 4 yesterday, I really wanted to do more. But I also want this building process to last a bit longer so I won’t have too much time between finishing this one and receiving the next.

Thank you @Nita_Davis seeing it in a different light really helped to get a better view on the colors, so I’m glad it’s working out like I hoped it would.

Thank you @Tinybysiw these pictures do show the colors better. When I will add the next pieces, I will have to see if I did color the correct sections or if I have to change the shade of blue on some parts. It’s a little bit of ‘trust the process’ on this one

Thank you @Tricia12 , I’m glad you like it

Thank you @Kim_Kieffer for your kind words.

Yes the choice of colors is very personal. It’s normal you would paint it in the colors you like. Blue is by far my most favorite color and I like the soft light blue tints the most.

Because I don’t want too much paint for using it on maybe 1 kit, I use my acrylic markers for everything I paint now.

Luckily my set has a lot of different shades in many colors so I could really see which one I liked best. And it has great coverage on both the light and dark wood.

Thank you @Cozy.little.palette glad you like it. Waiting for other kits to arrive, really helps to take my time with this one. I wouldn’t want to have it finished too soon before I have something new to start on
