Today, after work, it was time for step 2 of the magic harp. I have been looking forward to this and I really needed to remind myself of stopping after that step, because I want to enjoy this building process a little longer.
With some pieces I found it hard to decide what to color and what not n, which resulted in coloring while it was already attached. All in all I think it is still looking rather good. I hope it will look even better after completing the next step.
For the building process itself, I did not really struggle with anything today. Or not that hard. Maybe it took a little longer to get the snares through the gaps where they needed to be held with little pieces, but that was mostly because my big fingers were in the way . I could finish this step without any accidents or damages, so this far I’m very satisfied.
Tomorrow I’m not building, I will go to my parents after work, for dinner, and I usually go home when it is time for bed.
In the weekend I will try to make a picture in the day light. The lights in my house are not doing the colors any justice at the moment. That is also a reason why I stop after just completing one step. I want to do some with actual good daylight so all colors are the way they have to be.
I can totally understand your frustration with that. My favorite Arbor Green never looks the same through my pictures as I see it with my own eyes. Maybe someday I will adjust the colors on my pictures to make it the truer green that it is. That is also why I took the pictures of the vitoscope outside.
Thank you @Grey74 , I like taking my time for this one as well. The different steps are not too short, so I don’t feel like not building enough after just doing 1 step. And now I stopped on time and have some time to read a bit before turning of the lights and go to sleep
Thank you! I love this kit too . I love to see it become a beautiful harp with each step. How the different pieces that I add all have their own part to make this a complete masterpiece
@Minus_88 I really like how you are pacing the Magic Harp so you can enjoy each step a little longer. The color choices already feel calm and elegant, and finishing this step without damage is absolutely worth celebrating. Friday’s update will be fun to see.
Thank you, the pictures aren’t really showing the colors properly. As it was almost dark outside I had to turn on the lights, and they cast a yellow glow on all my pictures. So in one of my next posts I will make a picture when it is still light outside and the exact colors show.
