One of the debates after a build is completed is whether to keep the instructions. There are several factors to consider, such as how much storage space you have, and what to store them in? For me, I choose to keep every single instruction manual for a couple of reasons.
If i accidentally drop a build and need to put it back together, I have a reference.
If someone else loses their instructions, I can look at mine or copy it to help them out.
I make notes in my instructions if I do anything different than instructed…like inserting an artificial plant instead of making one, or if I paint something, I write down the number of the color I used. That way if I want to make something similar in the future, I can look back in the manual to see what I used.
I write the completion date on each instruction Manuel and hen insert it into a gallon ziplock back. I also put any extra pieces specific to that build into the bag with it. Then, I store the bags in a Rolife box in order of completion. They are all in chronological order so that I can find them.
This method has come in handy more than once.. Maybe this will help a newby out with their decision to keep or not to keep. Then there’s the matter of what to do with all of the leftover miscellaneous parts like wire, plants, beads, etc., but we’ll leave that for another day
