@Gidge this Bahay na Bato concept is deeply thoughtful, especially because it connects architecture, family memory, and cultural preservation. The capiz windows, ventanillas, zaguan, and traditional kitchen details would give builders so much meaningful texture to create. Thank you for sharing the history behind the idea as well as the miniature dream.

@Jill_Francisco preserving history through miniatures is such a beautiful way to put it. The way everyone is connecting the concept to family homes and local culture makes this thread feel bigger than a single kit idea.

Part of me says ‘sayang talaga.’ But another part of me is thinking better than watching it deteriorate further. The house was sold separately from the lot. They took great care in dismantling it from what i heard so I’m really hoping that the pieces will be used to recreate a house similar to the original.

This is such a great post to read. I appreciate you sharing this @Gidge. I think a kit like this would be great to build.

Thank you @Grey74 … It’s nice that you have Pinoy friends—I don’t think you’ll ever run out of laughter, good food, and genuine hospitality with them around
