I finally found the time to post about my most recent build, the Arcade Dating Book Nook.
It’s a gorgeous kit, filled with tiny details in every possible corner. From the intricate black railings on the roof, to the opening hours printed on the glass doors and right down to the menu pages, you can tell it was designed with great care. The aim was to create a realistic miniature world you could sink hours into, and they delivered.
My partner, who has been to Paris, is a huge fan of this book nook. You can almost imagine yourself strolling along the streets, only to be drawn in by the smell of coffee, forcing you to stop in your tracks.
Apart from the stick-on tablecloths and a slightly broken base piece, I had no major issues with this kit. The quality is definitely there. A few pieces required extra sanding, but everything else fit seamlessly. I had the most therapeutic sessions after work, slowly chipping away at this build while temporarily forgetting about everything else.
I highly recommend this kit, and I can see why it’s one of the more popular ones. It’s going straight into my display cabinet in the living room, and I’ll keep staring at it until the day I finally get to visit France and Europe with my partner.
Heavy on the manifestation.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you so much for sharing such detailed pics. This turned out lovely. Every time I hear the word ‘arcade’, I always think of a gameroom with video games and stuff like that. Tonight, I actually googled the meaning to find out WHY there are no video games inside this “arcade”…

Aww thank you!
I tried! The details of a book nook are usually tucked away and I feel sad sometimes. They deserve to be seen!

I love the black railing too!
That’s one of the reasons I bought this! Thank you for liking my photos hahaha I just realised they don’t show up fully on the phone screen.

Thank you Nita!
Omg same! I googled too! And that’s when I learned it also means a passageway with many shops.
Clearly a game room has been etched in our minds, for whatever reason.
Thank you!
Your photos are inspirational.

I am so glad that I am not the only one who was uneducated about ‘another’ meaning.

You said something about a broken base piece, what happened there and how were you able to fix it?

I love this kit. I built this after our honeymoon in Europe. Reminds me of our time in a Paris Café. A very romantic book nook..

You’re welcome.
Yes, I agree with you. It’s a shame that the other beautiful details are unseen. :<

Yeah so that’s actually the exit point for the battery pack so it’s a bit of a disaster.
Every time I needed to remove the battery pack and shove it back in the base piece comes apart. I’ve given up fixing it, can’t be seen anyway.

Oh, no! I wish I’ve done this kit before so I could help you out, but I’ve only made one Rolife Nook so far and it’s pretty different from this one.

Aww!
This book nook must’ve been extra sentimental to you. It is definitely a romantic build.
Yeah I never realised it was this popular until I looked up the name.
I hope you’re doing well yourself! I remember you saying it was some time this week.
