Customizing my Airplane Control Tower

My first customization attempt: the Airplane Control Tower.

I’ll be using acrylic markers to color. Kraft paper and basswood sheets for customizing:

Aiming for an “overgrown fortified station” look with weathered paint, rust, grime and patches of moss using just the acrylic pens to color:

Plane building time!

This is where things get interesting… and a little nerve-racking. :sweat_smile:

Next comes the modifications and then painting. Hoping I can do these tiny WWI aircraft justice.

I am excited to see this. It’s looking great so far. I did mine as well…but mine was with primary colors. Red, blue, yellow, white, silver and black. Wishing you the best of luck

This is looking fantastic already! I love the concept of an overgrown fortified station,it has so much character, and the weathering, rust, and moss will really bring it to life. Best of luck with the painting and customization! The decals look great, and I’m excited to see how your first custom build turns out. You’ve got this!

Thank you. I’m working as fast as I can but taking it slow, if that makes any sense. :sweat_smile: Wouldn’t want to make any mistakes along the way.
