It’s been a few months since my last MOC (stay tuned, I’ll share more soon!), luckily I found the Blossom Cart, which was the best kit to get back to being creative. It felt great making that first cut in the wood and the smell of saw dust ![]()
Time flowed while this kit was built and customized, there were so many ideas and very many tests before committing, in the end the pieces and ideas fit together perfectly.
The Cart… I love how the cart turned out, the layering and texture effect creates such wonderful depth. The cart was painted using Sharpie water-based acrylic markers and pencil crayons. I added a rack at the back of the bike for extra display space.
The Flowers… I had a vision of full bouquets
so I added leaves to the flowers in the buckets tailoring them to the flower type.
I love texture and what better way to add texture than with woven baskets ![]()
in addition to the beautiful flowers, I thought our vendor could also have other gift items for sale… introducing the tiniest terrariums I have made to date
I enjoyed making these!!
the cart looked unbalanced so I added a shelves on the other side, one to display the terrariums and the other a surface to wrap the flowers and gifts
The Base… it evolved throughout the build, the design printed on it was great and really inspired me to make it feel more 3d. I added moss, sand, stones, and individual blades of grass, the edge was also painted continuing the pattern of the cobblestones. This was a lot of fun
the hard part was when to stop fiddling, adding, tweaking, shifting…
growing up we watched Bob Ross happily painting and embracing creativity, so when I accidentally pushed the small pieces attaching the two flowers at the front of the cart, I embraced this happy little accident and added two gold beads ![]()
after loosing track of time and days building this absolutely fun kit, my very supportive (smart-aleck) husband requested for a puddle on the ground. I immediately started to think
“where should the puddle be?” “what made the puddle?” “a clear or muddy puddle?” ![]()
challenge accepted…
it turned out perfectly! it is now the best feature and my favourite part of this build! ![]()
The Finished Build…
oh and lights were added, flowers are for all occasions, day and night
