Country side cottage

Stepping outside my comfort zone here. Trying a non Rolife build. I cropped to remove name. I think I am supposed to do that.

I was thinking I needed to paint but it almosr
t looks like it has a shiney finish. They are saying boards are wood or Acrylic. They all look shiney. Will see

I can’t wait to see what you could come up with. I personally like it the way it is, but of course feel free to make it your own.

The model kit is really beautiful. I’m looking forward to seeing it finished.

Even with a slight sheen, you can lightly sand them and paint over if you choose to do so. I am excited to see this one. It’s so lovely. I would definitely leave the roof as is. I love it!

Oooooh this one is absolutely gorgeous I can’t wait to see how it’ll turn out in real life!! also she’s already pretty here and there but oh a speck of green here and there would take this to the next level :sob:

Oh this is gorgeous! :pink_heart: I can’t wait to see it with your personal touches.

And I agree with @valleyggoo some green would be perfect! :green_heart:

Wow! I think this is difficult to build just by looking at the picture. :open_mouth: Have fun building that kit and I know you will nailed it like the hard kits that you’ve already done.

The wood has already got a shine to it which looks really pretty. I am unsure if I will paint. @Nita_Davis suggested sanding if I want to. Will see as I progress.

Ohh looks interesting. Does it open?

Dont know yet!

I think painting it would make so much better and show the details much better.

I agree. I love the roof as it is though.

@nita_davis and @Jerry_Boswijk
think edges and some trim. Took some pics, will do official post later but here is a peek.

My lighting just does not show that shine

You can kind of see in this one. I did test an I can paint it

I wish I could capture better. I definitely will leave roof and will do edges. I AM UNSURE WHAT COLOR I WOULD PAINT OVERALL HOUSE AND THERE IS SO MUCH TRIM OVER WALLS
Whoops ignore caps. Too lazy to retype. Whats your thoughts?
@Nita_Davis and @Jerry_Boswijk

I can’t offer advice on colors because everyone has their own likes. I will always love my arbor green but that’s my personal favorite. Your tastes may be much different than mine. I would probably leave the house color and only paint the trim…but I would use a few different colors.

This look like a fun build. Looking forward to your update.

I would make the walls a grey/black type colour to make it look old and the shutters infront of the window a brown tint i :thinking:

This build looks absolutely amazing. I’m really curious to see how it turns out.

it is cool but not something I would do several of
