[Challenge & Achievement] Progress 2 of 5: Painting the Vietnamese Convenience Store (not Rolife)

As small of a build as this is, this is packed with details. Very time-consuming but fun and interesting.

I browsed through the instruction booklet which are all in Vietnamese. I eventually figured things out on my own, just by looking at the pictures.

I’ve decided to build and paint the store and the furnitures first. I had an absolutely fun time painting the corrugated roof and made it look weathered and rusty.

The store items will take some time. You have to cut and glue everything.

That’s it for now. I’m taking lots of breaks. This project is beautiful yet can be exhausting. I’m just happy that it’s coming along nicely.

UPDATE: Here’s the finished product. Progress 5 of 5: (Finished)The Vietnamese Store and the nostalgia it brings

I love that icecream Freezer, it reminds me of the ones you find at corner shops here in the Uk :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What an amazing journey you’re on with this detailed build! It’s inspiring to see how you carefully tackled each part, especially with the language barrier, and made the store really come alive with your painting. Keep enjoying those breaks and savoring each step – this miniature is turning out beautifully because of your dedication!

I love the rusted look on your corrugated roof. Did you use paint to create it?
And your build has so many tiny details that really make it great. I’m really looking forward to seeing the end product.

This kit looks fun enough, specially with your customizations! It’s so nice that they usually include visual instructions so you can properly follow them even if you’re not familiar with the language.

I love how you painted the roof, it looks so realistic  and those little items in the store are so adorable. This will look amazing once done. I wish they have a Sari Sari store version

That’s one of my favorites too! I like that it looks sorta beaten up, making the ice cream freezer look old.
