Either I have tightened the joins in the tram too loosely, which could have made my tram not rolling straight away. It was more or less swaying to right and left.
Thanks. But I think I am the only one who experienced the problem. As I wrote below, I may have not tightened enough my tram assembly. I’ll try to disassemble the whole kit and see what I have done wrong. But I’m pretty sure that I will have to order a new motor. Sorry @Robotime
.
I haven’t built this kit so I can’t offer any advice. Robotime might be able to help you though. Good luck with the rest of the build. I think it’s looking great.
I hoped u got it resolved soon
Thanks for sharing your experience with us , I got this kit and probably my next project . ![]()
That sounds like such a classic builder’s journey
Hi @Robotime! Yesterday, I have disassembled the kit (happily I haven’t closed it yet). It’s quite easy to remove pieces in fact even decorated with the trees on plates
. So I have checked what could have happened.
- First, no short circuit happened for my tram happily. The toothed wheel of the motor didn’t fit well with the others. Ok.
- I have checked if any pieces described in the notice were missing in my assembly. No problem.
- I have paid attention to insert well the metallic tubes under the train between the wooden rails. No problem as well.
- But when I have switched on the system, my tram always touch a little the flowery decoration at the outline.
What to do
?
- Either I’ll check if I had built well my tramway (so it means disassemble again the kit),
- Check if the metallic tubes under the tram haven’t moved when positioning the circular flowery in the middle.
- If I don’t find a solution, I’ll remove the excess of flowery decoration by polishing it again,
- Or, if only I could, I would cut the side of the outline, but how? I can still ask advices to a carpenter I know to cut the outline on the right. At least, I could add flowers myself and It wouldn’t be visible since it will be hidden by the front of the TV on the right.
To conclude: Either I made a mistake (more convincing argument), or I am part of the unlucky crafters
(maybe???).
It may also be due to cutting deviations on some wooden boards, meaning an issue with the boards themselves. We can mail you some replacement parts free of charge if you need them.
Thanks for your fast reply
. Could you send me some replacement parts please?
Have a nice day.
Hi @CustomerService and @Robotime, I have finally solved my problem!
Thanks to @Sasa for the advices on your topic
.
I have probably push too strongly the little yellow rings on the metal bars. This time, I have paid attention to:
-
use the Tool properly (I don’t remember if I have badly using it),
-
and to use the little plastic item in the Tips p.14. When I have removed it, there was a little space which I believe help my tram to roll above the flowery decoration. I think that I had pushed too much the metal bars, which could explain why my tram damaged the outline.
Hooray
!!!
Nan Si, you did a great job spotting the tiny culprit near the motor. Those pointed decorations can be surprisingly sneaky, and I am so glad the tram is rolling again. A little touch up paint will make the fix blend in nicely, and your Music Dreamer is almost ready to shine!
Nan Si, so glad you found the culprit and got the tram rolling again! That little flowery corner by the motor can be surprisingly fussy, and your sanding file fix was very clever. A quick color touch up should help hide the polished spots, and your Music Dreamer is so close now!
I’m so glad to see you sorted it out! ![]()
Sometimes it’s little things we don’t even notice.
Its very important that assembling the tram to make sure the metal rods in the tram are where they should be and not shifting. Here’s a great read for trouble shooting
LOL THIS IS WHAT I MEANT AHAHAH glad you found the solution I just decided to comment based on my own lived experince
I have at last been able to build my Sakura dream tour. My husband helped me to make the tram rolling properly and not leaning.
It’s not perfect but defaults can’t be seen.
Now, next !
ce kit est tellement beau
Ce kit est vraiment beau. Mon fils de 10 ans adore le mettre en marche avec la musique et le regarder.
